Too (Almost) Legit to Quit

Amateurs in any field, whether it’s writing, singing, acting, owning a business, or even in academia, are often made fun of for being, well, amateurs. People laugh at how “green” they are, how much expertise they lack, and their overall naivete.

And those same people forget that once upon a time, they too were amateurs. Because we all start out as amateurs. If everyone started off as a professional or as an expert, there would be no room for improvement, for advancement, or for creative growth.

So for writers, singers, filmmakers, business owners, public speakers, and every other kind of amateur, and for all of our naysayers, this one’s for you.
