The Bible speaks briefly on a character known as Doubting Thomas, and this character has since become the poster child for anyone who has ever doubted anything. Stories about Thomas are used to encourage believers to go forth with blind faith, and to trust in the Lord completely and wholeheartedly.
While having faith is certainly a good, redeemable quality, the act of questioning everything around you is of equal goodness. Had scientists, activists, politicians, and world changers not questioned the world around them, we would still be living in a world bound by the laws of old. Laws that are outdated, archaic, and not useful.
And that’s what questioning does. It brings about change, and that change is almost always necessary. So question everything. And doubt everything else.
